8.3C with blue sky until early afternoon when thin cloud started to arrive from the South West. Feeling milder.

Maeve the Deerhound and I went out after lunch and went round our usual route. The tar laying machine was gone from beside the church. The little road roller was still there but no real clues as to the origin of the number I posted yesterday. UK number plates.

The fields are gradually drying out. The field with the bridle path has no standing water and the big ruts where the tractors have been collecting up the last of the bales are looking less muddy. The two trailers are still there, with bales. As we walked down the field we could see the dour couple and their jolly Spaniel walking towards Westhaven in the grass area beyond the railway line on the shore side.

The tide was in far enough to be covering most of the rocks today. The sea was very calm. Tiny waves were softly sweeping up the sandy slope where the firm sand met the dry. We had the whole beach to ourselves so we wandered along slowly. No rush :-)

At the Fishermen's huts I looked round for more things with numbers. I did get some shots, but this simple seascape with channel markers is a much better representation of the day. The nearest post clearly had a former life as a telegraph pole.

The owner of 'Shamara II' was working in his hut again. We exchanged a cheery wave as Maeve and I walked past and made our way back down to the beach to walk along to the car park.

I'm sure the car I saw yesterday was the parked in the car park. I wouldn't have mistaken the 'paw print' blanket over the back seat.
No sign of 'Reggie' !
