Live is good

Today for supper we and our immediate family meet together for a bbq supper. Everyone was there, except for those from Wisconsin. It’s been a year since we’ve been together so it was really good. Even the daughter and her fiancé were able to drive in from Winnipeg for a few days.

It was good to meet him before the wedding day in September. To get the feel of him and his presence. He seems a good fit. Kind, strong, all the things she needs. Note I’m looking forward to the wedding even more.

It was lovely to reflect tonight with Lauralea as we drive to the hotel, just how far our family has come. Good, kind spouses. All educated and working. Living in good communities that they are contributing to themselves. It’s just a really good patch of life these days. The heart feels full.

Tomorrow after a picnic lunch we will part ways again and Lauralea and I will return home and get ready to get back to work.

One week may have been just enough to let me start to relax. We’ll see if I can pull it back together in the coming week. :)

Life is pretty blessed right now, and we are grateful.
