Black Knapweed?

I was after thistles, but they are harder to photograph than I thought, so my spiel about how Partick Thistle got their name has gone down the drain.  The extra was almost the blip. It is called 'Black Eyed Beans From Venus,' after a Captain Beefheart song.

Today I have been mainly writing about the wonderfully English songs of Ray Davies.
