Hidden industry

Just over 18 000 steps today most of them around the coastal path and lanes along the north coast of Anglesey. We went first to Caemes Bay for a walk around the harbour before Dad, Bailey and I headed up the road and around the coast to Llanbadrig church - definitely a cemetery with a view. We came back via the coastal path which offered views of beaches, the White Lady, lots of wildflowers, a decommissioned power station and even a lighthouse in the (very) far distance. Back to the car for lunch with a view and then we moved the car further along the road to be able to walk to the ruins of Porth Wen brickworks. It was a bit of a treacherous path down and I was glad that Bailey had stayed back at the car with Mum this time but it was worth the journey. A surprising number of other people thought so too, including people who were camping down there. Going back up was definitely easier than going down. Back to Beaumaris and a sit in the garden with a beer was well-earned.
