Oak Leaf Hydrangea

This is one we have borrowed from southeastern North America.  We have two plants in our garden that were stripped bare by the deer last winter.  But they are growing vigorously now.  They will have lovely pannicles of cream flowers later in the year that stay on the plant well into the winter.  Architectural plants.

The bees' favourite plant today is the drumstick allium, every flower had its own white-tailed bumblebee.
