Mind The Gap, Sophie!

There was much excitement first thing this morning when Sophie burst out of the downstairs bathroom, where she was brushing her teeth, and dashed upstairs yelling for Grandma. It turned out that her first wobbly baby tooth had come out while she was brushing.

The commotion was quickly followed by Tess & I scrabbling about on all fours scouring the bathroom floor for said tooth (we'd forgotten how small they are) which we eventually found much to everyone's relief - there'd be much disappointment if the tooth fairy didn't make an appearance tonight - and put in an old ring case for safe keeping.

This is Sophie on a video call moments later, breaking the exciting news to Mummy & Daddy and showing them the gap in her front teeth. Not a great photo but about the only one where Sophie wasn't jumping up and down and that wasn't too blurry.

After all that I met up with my friend Roger and Carly the retriever for our regular walk. This afternoon, Tess, Sophie and I had a walk on Street Hill before we took her home to see her newly painted bedroom: she was almost as excited about that as her missing tooth!
