A new fence (widwed050820)

Much toing and froing in our corner of the world over the past few days.
One neighbour is having a new kitchen hence the skip.
Another neighbour has had a straggly bush replaced with this larch post fence.   The original builders left a triangular 'space' with some turf and  a couple of bushes on it which belong to the house off to the left of this image.  Carol, who lives in the house has had to put up with a variety of delivery vans turning on it,  which leaves tyre tracks and makes it difficult to keep tidy.  So - out with the lot and in with these larch posts - that should stop the careless turning :-)

The turf will be replaced with pebbles, they arrive tomorrow so it was necessary to dig out the space between the posts and the skip to make room.  Rather than have another skip, the soil is now in our section of the  railway cutting,  hence my lack of time for a proper blip!

We have asked the people doing the work to quote for some paving and hard landscaping we want doing - after the effort that went into shifting the soil it would be churlish not to accept their quote!  Alternatively - having seen their work rate - we're quite happy to have them do the work.

Not really in with the theme for Wide Wednesday -  some days don't quite work out how we expect them to.
Thanks to Rock Area for hosting.
