Cosmos

From small starts, huge plants emerge - well once you give them the depth of soil to grow in.

I  took my few photos fairly early as the pot with the exotic looking purple Salvia had blown over and after standing it up again I decided to do a few flower portraits.

A day for potting up some plants for my daughter-in-law.  She remarked last Saturday that she’d like some of those tall purple plants (Verbena bonariensis) to grow against a wall in her garden and as it happened some had self seeded and were available to transplant.
