DAY FIVE IN THE GAMES....

... wow what a day in the 2020 Alternative Olympic Games (AOG).

It promised so much, and did not miss with delivering some outstanding performances! 

A totally new event this year has been the "Mystery Walk through the Shallows" and few contestants were game to try out. 
This was far from the fact for Eddie Egret, who literally "flew" through the prelims and in the Final broke his own outstanding Semi Final time. 
Some of the contestants said it was really quite scary, but when we interviewed Eddie he just shrugged, and said "no big deal"!!

It was back to the Lagoon for the Duck Team event. The idea was for each Duck variety to swim the fastest time around the designated course without any wing flapping.
The Wood Duck team were favourites, and (first extra) shows Tillie squawking on her mate Woody to move it! They ended up the winning team for the day so her efforts paid off!

It was "publicised" to be a memorable day, and right on time, the Royal Australian Air Force did a fly over (second extra) a nice touch for this years Games.

Meanwhile back in the Lagoon, Doris the Dusky Moorhen (third extra) made the most of the rippled water surface and had a good go at the "Best reflections", another new event this year.

And at the close of events, Woody Wood Duck, was found relaxing in the shallows (extra four) kicking himself for not entering the "Best reflections" event! Oh well always next year Woody!
