Fabulous

Up and out into the sunshine (at last!). We decided to explore the Fife coast a bit, and first of all drove to Elie. The tide was out and we had a great long walk along the beach and back, looking at all the houses, beach huts, and rockpools. We had some coffee as we sat overlooking the sea that was as smooth as glass...gorgeous.
Moved on to St Monan’s and found the East Pier Smokehouse where we’d ordered lunch....amazing spread (hot smoked sea bass, whole lobster with tarragon mayonnaise, crab cakes and tempura prawns (and chips!). It was delicious! We sat up on the roof in the sun, chowed our way through the feast, and watched the tide coming in
After lunch we wandered along the sea front and had an ice cream as we watched the kids jumping into the sea from the harbour wall and people paddle boarding, then headed to Crail.
Found a lovely bit of beach with warm sand and I promptly lay down and fell fast asleep! Lovely...so relaxing, and then we headed over for a cup of tea in a little cafe almost cut into the cliff side...
Bit of a long drive home with loads of traffic lights that always seemed to be at red, then home for a quiet evening to end a lovely day
