Wild Wednesday ...

... a day at the AOG.

After yesterday's total washout the AOG was back on today ... and there was lots of activity.  

Starting with the top left photo ... this is the results of yesterday's storm. This road is just around the corner from the flooded scene in yesterday's extra photo that I posted.  It's really quite amazing the damage water can do. 

Upper middle: The coach on Team American Robin had to turn her back on the youngest member of the team (a fledgling!) during the watermelon eating event.  This young robin simply couldn't handle the pressure. 

Upper right: A gold medal was awarded to this magnificent Blue Dasher dragonfly for the Balancing event.  He stayed in this position for quite some time!

Bottom left:  And of course a gold medal was also awarded to this stunning Goldfinch for ... well, being gold!

The Squirrel and chippy had a good time simply observing all the action today.  I was extremely happy to see a couple of team members from Team Chipmunk as I was worried about them with all the rain yesterday.  As they live in burrows underground I worry about them getting flooded out ... or worse.
