Dragonflies revel in hot sunny weather.

Ollie dog and I watched darter wars by the lake this morning. A pair were conjoined and she was ovipositing. Another male kept flying at them until eventually they parted. It's likely that the new male will grab her, scrape out the other male's sperm and replace it with his own.
