Heatwave: time to head to the beach

It's a hot end to the school holidays and we headed to the beach for some family kayaking- lovely late afternoon evening on the water at Amager strand.

We beached at a quiet spot and played around in the water - there were thousands of tiny shrimps and lots and lots of these little guys- I'm not sure what species but definitely something mudskipper-like.

It's hard to see in the picture because they're so well camouflaged- but that is part of the charm of this one I think - I also love the light patterns in the water.
