Dolphin swallows salmon whole

In her comment on my blip for yesterday, Sallymair instructed us as follows: 'If you have time, take a trip to the Black Isle to Fortrose and watch the dolphins from Chanonry Point if you haven't done it before. Nice food at the Crofters in Rosemarkie followed by a drive up to Cromarty for excellent cheese and bakery and even more nice food.'

The above fitted very well with our plans. There were several dolphins at Chanonry Point, some just a few yards from the shoreline, including the rather hungry one blipped above. As suggested by Sally, we stopped at Crofters for a lunch outside on the sunny patio. Then we drove on to Cromarty for a look around the museum, and delicious local ice cream that we ate looking out to the Soutars. We stopped at the (spooky) Clootie Well at Munlochy on our way back to the hotel (see the extra).

This evening we will play game(s), have dinner, and make plans for more fun in the highland sunshine tomorrow.

Exercise today: walking (16,123 steps).
