Mrs Kite...

...looking rather beady eyed this afternoon.  She's the only member of the family who is ringed, plus she's also the only one who will let me take her photo.  Mr Kite appears to have headed off for pastures new, I haven't seem him recently (and he was a different male from last year).  They fledged two chicks, one in late April and one in early July, who are both nearly fully grown, although still a bit paler than their parents.  They are still in the garden and chase her, whistling furiously, if she finds something to eat.  I don't think she is feeding them anymore but it's got to be worth a try.

It's not as sharp as I would like, but generally I only get one chance...
