Wild fuchsia

There are some really exotic fuchsias to be had nowadays, but there is a simple grace about the original wild fuchsias which grow in the hedgerows in the north and in Scotland. I have three plants in my garden and although I cut them right back every year, they grow back into sizeable bushes.
Despite the fact that it has been another very hot day, we have both been very busy. By the end of the afternoon we were ready to join a Zoom meeting of N’s brother and his family. They very kindly invite us to join them very few weeks, and it is good to see them and hear all their activities. Three different families had been camping, on Exmoor, in the Brecon Beacons and in The Rocky Mountains. We didn’t have anything nearly as exciting as that to report!
Lovely sunset tonight, extra.
