Camouflaged

After a nice relaxed start to the morning we decided on a quick trip to the west common to search out a blip before we settled down for a rugby League fest on TV. I spotted a moth fly away from me as I disturbed some grass. It landed on some thistles out of my view. I decided to move the thistle head hoping to find it. No sign of it but just as I was about to let the thistle go I spotted it sat very still camouflaging itself in the dead leaves on the stem.  I took a few one handed shots and then left it to hide again . Upon closer inspection of the shots I could see it was a Silver Y moth We did also find an interesting orange type of shield bug see extra .
Back home to watch  3 super league games including a fine very close win for Wigan beating Wakefield by 1 point.
