Gone Wild

The old garden in Norwich has indeed begun to return to nature.

As dry as I have ever seen it, the grass is long and weeds abound after six months negelect.   Still the same garden though and some tough plants making good despite the drought, this Eryngium planum a good example.

Far too hot for outdoor work but as we're only here for a few days I just got on with it this afternoon.   Rescued a few precious things from the allotment and discussed it's return to the council .... and the cost of removing the undergrowth.   Also began the prep for tomorrow when my Shropshire friends are coming over to collect cold frames and the bulb collection amongst other things.
