Joiner and Undertaker

After yesterday's ghost sign I though I should show its partner. Wm Stewart, Jointer and Undertaker, had his name painted on a stone at the corner of the building.

The street name was painted on top later, but the base paint has disappeared. Does that mean that Perth didn't always have standardised street signs, I wonder?
