Lichen tree

This beech tree looks to be in leaf, it has such a thick covering of lichen.

Our Saturday walk took us along the bank of the River Tummel, north-west from Pitlochry. The weather wasn't quite as advertised, mist and light rain instead of sunshine. But if I'm going to walk in rain, I always like it to be next to water.

I haven't been commenting this week. My spare time went on preparing a talk on Blipping for my photography club. It was well received, and hopefully I have made a convert or two. It was also good for me to look back and see some of the benefits of the last year. My apologies for the silence, and I'm looking forwards to catching up tomorrow.
