Airshow cancelled

Sad times here today :(

Colin Cormorant has just announced that the Airshow scheduled for today will have to be cancelled due to poor visibility. We see him here doing his last minute checks from his vantage point on the end of the breakwater (or has he calls it Control Tower - we humour him, it's easier :))

Today was going to see one of the last events in the North Norfolk arm of the Games as the days tick by toward the Closing Ceremony. The Airshow is known as one of the hallmark events as it attracts all of the seagulls, terns and cormorants who train here all year round.
This year the terns have been spending all of their spare time crashing into the water to show their unique skills.
Terry, the tern's lead coach was only available via Seape (an online platform!!) but I managed to grab a quick word with him. He said, and I quote, "This really is a turn up for the books! Never in the whole history of the Games have we had to cancel the Airshow. There is no risk to the public but this year our H&S team have ruled it out for the safety of the participating teams and we have no choice but to comply"

Off the record, he did intimate that there might be a little show for those who chose to go down there but nothing formal.

Colin had to make this decision and he has self isolated with a pint of salt water until the tide of of disappointment passes!

One local was heard to say, "It just hits me in waves when I am least expecting it" She was advised to stay out of the water obv!!

Sad times

Today is Abstract Thursday and the theme is weather so there may be an upside to this emotional story. Thank you to Ingeborg for hosting.

I have had a little faff with LunaPics to give Colin something to crow about!!
