Watching the weather

The hot weather has finally broken. It’s rained and thundered. The boys raced in and out with excitement.

As I stood inside the conservatory watching the weather I think I saw a mummy shrew taking babies out of a tiny hole in the lawn to safety. I didn’t have my glasses on so it was a bit of a blur and at the distance that I tried to take the photo that was a blur too.

Willis is watching the rain from the study. If you look the bin men have left my neighbours bin open. That will have collected some water. I did check that mine was closed.

In the extra you can see the garden in the rain. I don’t think that the boys will need the paddling again for a while.

Hopefully I’ll be able to sleep tonight.
