Hazelnut

The remains of hazelnut processing have been found at a Mesolithic site at Colonsay, Scotland dating back 6000 years.  Today Turkey is 
the largest producer in the world.  They contain vitamin E besides other good things.

We have a few in the hedgerows on the farm but the squirrels get to them before we can pick any.  They are a firm favourite of mine as regards flavour in food. 

Not much happening today, T and little I looked in on the way back from nursery.  She loves to chatter away telling us what she has been doing.
