Crab Apples

There was a lot of blossom in the spring so the bees have certainly been busy judging by the amount of apples there are - and already there is fruit fallen on the ground with wasps eating away as the apples soften.  I havn't found the wasp nest yet but we usually have one every year somewhere in the garden.

In years gone by I used to make crab apple jelly, so good with roast pork, but in recent times the apples have had black spots on them which discolours the delicate pink so I have been lazy!
