Among the bloomin’ ...

Same weather as yesterday, dull morning and lovely sunny afternoon.

This morning John ran up a mountain, as he does - Ben Mor Coigach, the one you can see in the first photo behind Achiltiebuie. He then did a circuit back to where he left the car. 12.5 miles in all!

His car was just above the beach we were on yesterday so we met him there and went down to the beach with Eda. We’d been looking around some of the craft and art galleries here so Eda was in posh togs not her sea suit. They didn’t last long, she was soon in the water and soon had all those nice clothes off!
She loved running on the sand and said it was nice and fluffy, this is the child we couldn’t get to walk on sand a year ago!

We left them to return for their lunch and a last afternoon on ‘their’ beach. We made a coffee and sat out on our bench overlooking the Summer Isles as the sun had now appeared and the sea was sparkling.
We took a short walk down through the village to ‘The Peat Road’ which has great views over the Coigach peninsula and mountains. We didn’t walk as far as the view over Achnahaird beach where they would be as, as the name implies, this road ends up in the peat beds, a bit boggy. We’ve done it before but not today.

Our last night so we are treating ourselves to dinner out at the Am Fuaran bar. Grace and John had wonderful seafood last night so we are really looking forward to it!
Sad we won’t be seeing them tomorrow as we all head home.
