Closing Ceremonies...

...of the 2020 Alternate Olympic Games, and what an exciting, successful competition it has been! During these past 13 days we've witnessed both the thrill of victory and the agony of disqualifications, and yet all of the Olympic athletes have gathered together today in the Olympic Spirit, to pay tribute to the Games and the camaraderie of teammates. In this image you can see the Olympic Flag being lowered, signaling the closing of these AOG'S. The "Thunder Bolt" and the "Greene Gull", former decorated Olympic Athletes are here, as is Jack Sparrow, who, while not making it into the second round of his event is already working on catching crickets more quickly as he looks toward the next AOG'S. The Hens, the gold medal winners in synchronized swimming, just HAD to show off some of their underwater work, inappropriate though it may be to do that during the closing ceremonies, and also in the water are DC Cormorant, silver medal winner, and Speedy Honkers, along with one of his teammates who are also gold medal winners! The turtles are on their log, Dottie has re-created her winning moves on a leaf, and Naughty Natalia has also put in an appearance, front and center on the log by our champion gulls. The Flight Endurance team is all present, with "Turbo" just making a final pass in front of the Olympic Flag. Even Gerald, our 1948 competitor was talked into staying for the closing. A poignant end to a lovely two weeks, as all the competitors say goodbye to each other. Wishing them all a safe journey home!  :)))
