Clouds around Skiddaw's snowy tops

After yesterday's long trip and very late night, I would have loved a lazy day, but with the new season starting tomorrow (yay!) there's always a lot of last-minute things to do. We did manage a final visit to the recycling/tip to get rid of plastic and cardboard which has built up alarmingly, but the highlight of that - and the intended blip was Gail finally throwing her body cast into the skip following her broken back 14 months ago. A momentous occasion.

However, after lunch I did sit down and watch Scotland comprehensively thrash Italy in a fantastic display of rugby, the Welsh game I watched bits of, but did have to run outside when I saw these clouds round Skiddaw, Englands oldest mountain. A 0.6 ND grad filter kept detail in that wonderful wispy sky.
