Common Field Grasshopper

I didn't have to travel far, or wait too long for my image today. Just a few steps away from the entrance to Trentham Gardens this critter was warming itself on one of the fences.

It has been one of the hottest days out for me. Luckily it was just a stroll round the gardens with my Aunt. And we spent much of that in the shade!
