February Daily Challenge - Over-edited & Pleas

Day 9 of KaliBug's February daily challenge - Feb. 9th: An over-edited photo, and MissyMoo's February daily challenge (Guilty pleasure: What's something you enjoy but kinda feel guilty about doing so. Chocolate, expensive magazines, fancy shoes... do tell!).

A few decades ago Cokin popularised the resin filter and made some absolutely ghastly effects ones. Now, we no longer need them, we have Photoshop and plug-ins. The current "Cokin filter" seems to be badly done HDR (High Dynamic Range) images. HDR can produce beautiful images as well (see johngravett's example of well done HDR) but the general fashion seems to be to do it badly - so that you can instantly tell it is HDR.

I didn't have a high enough contrast scene for this today (particularly tying in to MissyMoos's guilty pleasures), so I used an allied technique to HDR for an over-edited photo - tone mapping (same techniques, but on a single exposure).

The guilty pleasure - another Christmas chocolate - this is from the last surviving box, which was made by a winner of one of the great taste awards, so the best are left until last.
