In the satsumary

More plants, but indoors!

Woolworths was the go to place for plants when I first moved here in the 70's. The supermarkets we had then were Prestos and the Co-op and they stuck to food, whereas today Lidl and Tesco's rival the garden centres with their plants.

We bought this Bougainvillia in Lidl on our last trip into town before Covid. The poor thing was twisted and contorted and firmly secured to a hoop. Since it was given its freedom and some TLC, it has never looked back! It has grown so well and is such a joy to see.

The satsumary is a small, hot and sunny porch, perfect for sitting in on sunny but windy days, at which Orkney excels! We like to think of it as a very small orangery!
