Life through the lens...

Runswick Bay

A back blip 8th August.

Set off from the caravan in glorious sunshine.
Stopped off at Great Ayton to pick up some pork pies for lunch, and then on to Runswick Bay, by which time it had clouded over, however still very warm.

It was fingers crossed we would be able to find somewhere to park, but luckily they had opened three fields as the carpark was full.
£5 for the day we thought was very reasonable, and the money went to the parish council.
Still didn’t seem busy on the beach.
Nice to see families enjoying themselves.

We had a walk along the beach ( I couldn’t resist a paddle!) before coming back to the car for a picnic lunch. Those pies were delicious.

Then a walk along the coastal path ( Cleveland Way) to Port Mulgrave and back. The sun did come out for a bit, but I was quite pleased it was overcast as I didn’t have to bother with a hat. Already covered in factor 50.
We didn’t meet too many people, but everyone friendly, and keeping their distance.

Back at the caravan where the sun had been shining all day.
We enjoyed sitting out in the early evening sunshine with a glass of wine.
Nice end to a great day.
