Life through the lens...

By ValC

Happy families.

Another wet day, so have spent some if it on Ancestry and then looking through old photographs belonging to my mum.
This collage is of mum and her cousin Mim ( Mildred) on holiday in Penzance in 1930.
She was staying with her grandmother in the village of Goldsithney, which just happens to be were mum and dad retired to in 1969.
The golf course was at Laregan , Penzance. Probably a pitch and put, but I can’t find anything about it. Obviously no longer there.
I have found a little Larriggan River between Penzance and Newlyn, so will see if we can find that when we go down in September.
I love looking through these old photos. Every time find something new
A happy afternoon.
