Nearly normal Sunday

The Golf Club Sunday carvery lunches have started up again! We booked a table and invited friends H and D to join us. The restaurant was set out with socially distanced tables for four. There was no starter selection, but a tasty salad brought to our table. Then we were served at the carvery, with beautiful joints of beef, pork and turkey and vegetables on offer. We chose the usual delicious desserts from a menu instead of selecting from a table. The whole process was managed very efficiently and we felt very safe. It was so good to be back, and we hope they will resume their monthly carveries.
We came through heavy rain on the way home but now it is a fine evening. The flowers on our tree are very abundant this year. It goes by the grand name of Ligustrum Lucidum and it is a type of privet. See the tiny flowers in extra. After the flowers have dropped it produces tiny berries which are feast for the birds.
