Fireweed

We did not get a camping spot on the lake, they were all taken. The spot we ended up is a hunters camp, a walking distance from the lake but in our own peace and quiet. This is ideal, having an eight month old along. We are in the midst of an alpine flower field, though most of them are done blooming. Water is available from a pump at the camp ground. The lake is perfect for swimming and canoeing.
