The Polls are open.

I have, up till now, kept all flowers standing strictly to attention, tied to a stake like Jeanne D'Arc.  For reason(s) I know not, these two were left to their own devices.  They are, as A. N. Other pointed out recently more like they would appear in their natural habitat.
Thing is I'm not 1009% sure, just pretty close?
One thing I can vouch for is - both plants, currently in flower seem to have larger than usual flowers and I'm wondering if there's any direct connection?
