Hidden Gems

I went to see Driving Miss Daisy at the New Theatre, Cardiff today, a 90 minute play which runs straight through with no break and only 3 people in the cast. Don Warrington (Rising Damp) and Gwen Taylor (Duty Free) were the main leads of the show. It was something different, and as you'll know if you've seen the movie a lot of the time it's about driving in a car, so to see that recreated on stage in a novel way just goes to prove the magic of theatre.

You may know Cardiff for its big shopping centre like the St.David's 1 and 2 complexes but actually there are other little gems in the city centre in the numerous arcades. This is just one; the Royal Arcade which I believe is the oldest arcade in Cardiff, having been built in 1858. So next time you're in Cardiff don't just go to the big shops have a look around at the arcades, you'll be surprised what you might find.

In other news Wales finally won a rugby match! Whohoo!
