Life through the lens...

Eat Out Help Out

Well we did our bit to help today.
First visit to the new( ish) restaurant in the village.
I blipped this on 14th January 2019 just before it opened.
Today we went for lunch and made the most of £20 discount. Many thanks to the government.

We had booked to go with two friends, but as we are now in the new lockdown, we had to go on our own.
Had a wonderful three course lunch. One of the best since we visited France two years ago.
In the collage you can see my starter of Pan-seared Salmon with GardenPea Purée, Atlantic Prawns and Saffron Dressing.
Also photo of my main course which was Pork Tenderloin and Pig’s Cheek with Mustard Jus. Honey glazed carrots and Spring.
Onion Mash.
For Pud. we had Lemon Posset with Shortbread Biscuit.
All absolutely delicious. Also had a glass of Loire Sauvignon Blanc, Mr C a glass of rosè.
They were very well organised, although busy, the place was full with the tables spread at 2 meters apart.
No sitting at the bar.
We will certainly be back again, even though we won’t get the discount after the end of August.
So lucky to have this within walking distance of home.
( Although we took the car this time as it started pouring down)
Thank you Grand Cru for a lovely meal.
Nice to get dressed up for once!
