Today is my birthday.  I don't like a lot of fuss but the forester invited friends for afternoon tea and those kind friends bought gifts which was totally unnecessary.  They covered all my interests, drinking, photography and plants.  The forester bought a cake and it was a cheerful afternoon on what was otherwise a wet and cool day.   I am lucky to have made such thoughtful friends.
