Expectation

This is a moon flower in the making and it shows already all the delicacy of the blooms before they unfurl . I am particularly excited as this flower is growing in a climate that is definitely not his "home climate". The seeds for this plant were sent to me by MaryElizaR quite a while ago and came from North Carolina, now the plants start to bloom in Oregon right behind the dunes of the Pacific Ocean. Last week we were not home, it was hotter than our normal temperatures in the mid to low sixties , and when I arrived on Monday I was surprised that they all had made a flower or two, seemingly over night. Now I will wait eagerly every evening to watch them unfurl...
