Glen Man Floating

Sorry but it's a back blip from yestersay.  Arrived at our room too exhausted to do much but try to revive.

The musician and I hiked the Junta Trail at Wild Rivers National Monument north of Taos down to the punta where the Red River meets the Rio Grande.  Went again in search of cool waters.  Didn't find pools deep enough to dive into* but did manage to float in pools nonetheless.  Which is a good thing.  We probably would not have made it back up!
*

Extras:
1. Sitting in the cool water at the confluence of two rivers.
2. S/he who hikes down must also hike back up...yes, to the very top of the peak!  In 95 F (35 C) at 7,000 ft. (2134 m) elevation.  I would say, "No sweat," but there was a great deal of perspiration in spite of the fact we left the river soaking wet.
3. In the end, I'd do it again, all the way to the point!  You can see the trail way down below leading to the confluence.
