This morning we were at a surprise Zoom party for the Golden wedding of D's Uncle Rob and Auntie Margaret. Of course they knew that their daughter Helen had arranged a Zoom call, but didn't know who would be on it. Three of Helen's children arrived at their front door with balloons and a cake. There was a slide show of photos from the past 50 years and Helen did a nice talk.

Of course its' always better to see your relatives in person, but I have to say that this was a really lovely occasion and I was pleased that we were invited.

I wonder what the savings in CO2 emissions has been with people working from home and meeting via Zoom instead of driving around the country?
