Not sourdough

The sourdough starter ‘went’ a few months ago. Was eating far too much bread (it was so good), and it became a bit of a chore.

Have rediscovered the bread machine. This is the 3rd vegan white/rye made in the last few days. I added caraway seeds to the others, but Mr B said he would only eat without. So this is for him.

So easy to make, and now we’ve cut food deliveries to once weekly, solves the running out of bread prob - as long as I can get hold of flour.

Another funny weather day. Repeat of yesterday. Overcast and sun. Tomorrow rain. Another two yellow warnings for wind Tuesday & Wednesday.

Walked into town. Table free outside new café ‘Cremma’ - yes double M - so grabbed it. Turkish owned. Food beautifully presented and looks spotless. I had a lemon tea served in a pretty glass, with a biscuit and turkish delight (nice touch even if I left them). Mr B said his coffee wasn’t bad (a reasonable compliment by his standards). Permanently packed out when we pass. Good position for people watching.

Walked back up. Stopped at the Green House for cider. Then home and put my feet up.
