Statue's Foot

Another run out to Castle Howard, our default Sunday afternoon out... it's a really good place to walk Jasper, it's only about 20 minutes away and it has a good farm shop where you can buy meat that is what it says it is ;-)

It was however a rubbish day for photographic light. A dull white sky threatened (but didn't deliver) snow, and it cast a bleak greyish tinge to the whole day. So although I tok a few landscapey shots, when I looked back over the day's pics they looked a bit flat. It was this close-up of a grotty statue's foot that stood out.
