Francis Nicholson

Nice and sunny here for a change, so I took the camera for a walk round town at lunchtime to see what shots I could get for the ongoing 'Pickering: a Year in the Life' thing I'm doing with a few photographic buddies. Never noticed before, there's a blue plaque on the main road celebrating an English painter called Francis Nicholson, who I confess I hadn't heard of before now. Quite famous in his day, apparently.
