Contrasting Textures

Can't beat a withered tree stump for rich browns, oranges and earthy tones. The rough texture of the naturally distressed wood contrasts with  fungi's smoother surfaces and to some extent the vegetation.

I knocked back the greens a touch to heighten the warm tones. The stump is lit by warm light from the low sun which helps to bring out the texture further.

Later a frog (I think?) remained still long enough for me to get pretty close which I had to do because a shortish focal length. I think he was enjoying the evening sun sitting on his rock.
