Memorial

Today we went to the National Memorial Arboretum in Staffordshire. Not that far really and traffic was quite light.
We had said that we should go but it got delayed by lockdown until now. Pre-booking is needed at the moment and J did so last week.
Lots to see and a second visit is needed to see all that’s there. After all it’s over 150 acres to explore.
Many, many memorials of course and this looked quite striking against the overcast sky and it’s for the Royal Air Services I think.
I was quite moved by some of what we read and such loss of life, many would have been so young.
