Sunday: Aquabus

It’s been a while since we’ve been to Granville Island.  We walked the circumference of it, before wandering  in more depth in the middle sections.  Every time we go, we feel that there is more to it that we haven’t quite discovered, that it’s somehow eluding us a bit.  But I don’t think that’s really the case anymore - it will just always confuse us a little with the layout.

The good news is that there is a new small bookstore, beautifully curated, and with the wonderful name of ‘Upstart & Crow’.  I’d read it about a few days ago and it was instrumental in us deciding to go to Granville Island today.  They’ve been open five days and I really hope they do well, particularly as Vancouver is not particularly well-served with independent bookstores.

These are the little ferries that run back and forth across False Creek.
