Finally, A Hummingbird

Dear Diary,

I was convinced that this would be the year I didn't get even one photo of a hummingbird but finally, here it is.  Again, not the best but I love the way she has her head fully inside the Trumpet flower.  This year, I did not have John trim or tie up the vines and just let them go where they wanted and the result has been many more flowers and easier Hummer viewing.  The sun on her gorgeous feathers is such a sight.  They will be gone soon, heading for warmer climes, so I was pleased I was able to get even one photo.  We had a lovely downpour last night that lasted a few minutes and refreshed things a bit.  More please!
