What a feast!

There is a wasp nest that I haven't found this summer but where the crab apples have dropped there are swarms of these little creatures!  This is just one tiny squashed windfall and there are over 30 wasps gorging the rotting flesh.  There must be hundreds nibbling away in this area! The good thing is they are not tempted to go anywhere else where they might be a nuisance and they will be gone in a month or so when the weather gets colder.
