Another village show

Late summer is a good time for village shows: fruit, vegetables and flowers are in plenty with arts, crafts and photography on the side lines.  The cream teas are tempting too.   

Today was a hot day.  I mowed half the lawn and then gave up before going inside to cool off. It was fun bumping into acquaintances at the show, a small handful of people were competing against each other for prizes in most of the classes - all good at cooking, and gardening and crafts. There is always a men's section too with the same winners every year!  The children did well .  This was the show's 70th anniversary.
